BODY projects > Sites of Origin | 2005-06

Our bodies are generated by our parents' , and theirs by their parents, and backwards for millenia. This series explores the physical connection formed from mother to child through the placenta and umbilical cord. The forms in these pieces are based on microscopic images of human tissue and the patterns created by the accumulation of cells.
